Due to continued increases from the postal service, in addition to increases in production and printing costs, the Carthage Courier will be implementing a mail subscription price increase effective with the July 3 issue. The boost in mail subscription prices will be the first increase in 10 years despite several production and postal increases during that span.

The price for single copy sales will not be affected and remains 50 cents.

Annual mail subscriptions for Smith County will be $18 (less than 35 cents per issue). Other counties in Tennessee will be $21 while out-of-state subscriptions will be $25. In appreciation to our readers and subscribers for their support, the Courier will offer new and existing subscribers the opportunity to add any number of years to their current subscription at the current rates of $15 in Smith County, $17 in Tennessee and $20 out-of-state.

The deadline for this special offer of paid subscriptions will be 4 p.m. Friday, June 27.
